Published in 2020, Ladislav Trakal: Artist and Teacher was the first monographic study devoted to the artist. The publication brought together the biographical, archival and visual material known at the time and examined Trakal’s work in Kharkiv and Prague as a painter, draughtsman, illustrator, designer and educator.

Since its publication, the Foundation has identified additional works, documents and biographical evidence. A substantially expanded and revised scholarly monograph is now in preparation.

The 2020 edition therefore represents the first stage of an ongoing international research project.
