Pat\u0159il k nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm p\u0159edstavitel\u016fm secese na Ukrajin\u011b a v \u010desk\u00fdch zem\u00edch, k pr\u016fkopn\u00edk\u016fm ukrajinsk\u00e9ho symbolismu a k osobnostem, kter\u00e9 polo\u017eily jeho z\u00e1klady. Z\u00e1rove\u0148 byl v\u00fdraznou osobnost\u00ed um\u011bleck\u00e9ho a pedagogick\u00e9ho \u017eivota Charkova na p\u0159elomu 19. a 20. stolet\u00ed.  <\/p><p>Narodil se 27. \u010dervna 1873 v Deb\u0159i u Mlad\u00e9 Boleslavi, tehdy v Rakousku-Uhersku. Jeho um\u011bleck\u00e1 a pedagogick\u00e1 dr\u00e1ha propojila kulturn\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed \u010desk\u00fdch zem\u00ed a Ukrajiny.<\/p><p>Jeho tvorba zahrnovala malbu a kresbu, portr\u00e9t, krajinomalbu, symbolistn\u00ed a dekorativn\u00ed kompozice, n\u00e1vrhy architektury a interi\u00e9r\u016f, ilustraci a um\u011bleckou pedagogiku. Propojoval st\u0159edoevropsk\u00e9 um\u011bleck\u00e9 tradice s dynamick\u00fdm kulturn\u00edm prost\u0159ed\u00edm Charkova a vytvo\u0159il sv\u00e9bytn\u00e9 d\u00edlo, kter\u00e9 n\u00e1le\u017e\u00ed do d\u011bjin ukrajinsk\u00e9ho i \u010desk\u00e9ho um\u011bn\u00ed kolem roku 1900. <\/p><p>V Charkov\u011b se Trakal stal vlivn\u00fdm pedagogem. K jeho \u017e\u00e1k\u016fm pat\u0159ili Vasyl Yermilov, Borys Kosarev, V\u00e1clav Fiala a Heorhii Tsapok. Jeho pedagogick\u00e1 \u010dinnost pom\u00e1hala utv\u00e1\u0159et um\u011bleck\u00e9 a vzd\u011bl\u00e1vac\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed m\u011bsta na po\u010d\u00e1tku 20. stolet\u00ed a ovlivnila generaci, kter\u00e1 pozd\u011bji v\u00fdznamn\u011b zas\u00e1hla do jeho kulturn\u00edho v\u00fdvoje.  <\/p><p>Po n\u00e1vratu do \u010ceskoslovenska pokra\u010doval v pr\u00e1ci um\u011blce, ilustr\u00e1tora, n\u00e1vrh\u00e1\u0159e a pedagoga. Zem\u0159el 1. \u010dervna 1951 v Praze. Jeho d\u00edla a dokument\u00e1rn\u00ed poz\u016fstalost se n\u00e1sledn\u011b rozpt\u00fdlily mezi r\u016fzn\u00e9 zem\u011b, instituce a soukrom\u00e9 sb\u00edrky a podstatn\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st jeho tvorby z\u016fst\u00e1vala po desetilet\u00ed \u0161ir\u0161\u00ed ve\u0159ejnosti nezn\u00e1m\u00e1.  <\/p><p>Znovuobjevov\u00e1n\u00ed Trakalova odkazu ukazuje um\u011blce, jeho\u017e dr\u00e1ha vytvo\u0159ila d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fd most mezi ukrajinsk\u00fdm a \u010desk\u00fdm um\u011bn\u00edm.
